First produced in 1606, the story revolves around Macbeth, the Thane of Glamis, who receives a prophecy from three witches that he’ll one day become king of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred on by his ambitious wife, Macbeth murders King Duncan and seizes power, only to see the prophecy fulfilled as more and more blood is shed.
The production is to be co-directed by Noreen K. Brandt and Greg Bastien.
