On a Wednesday afternoon in 1957, the four women of the Wednesday Winnetka Women’s Cooking Club meet at 1pm sharp. In the kitchen of Joan Smith, the ladies gather to worship at the altar of Betty Crocker while cooking a little, gossiping a lot, and talking about their lives as housewives, women, mothers, and lovers. But the events of this particular Wednesday afternoon lead Joan, Connie, Agnes, and Dottie on a path none of them expected. When their club is reunited ten years later, the Swingin’ Sixties are in full gear and times have certainly changed. Although life looks quite different in 1967, some things—like finding love, acceptance, friendship, and your own self-worth—never seem to go out of style.

A delightful musical featuring the sounds of the 50s and 60s, A TASTE OF THINGS TO COME showcases the profound societal change women both experienced and helped forge. Packed with songs that pay tribute to the chart-topping hits of the time, this show will charm you from start to finish while celebrating the strength of women and friendships that weather the storms of change.
