Since 1989 Greta (she/her) has worked as a writer, director and performer across the country. After a stint in New York City and 7 years of touring and working in region theaters across the country, Greta moved to the Twin Cities in 1996 to join the company of Dudley Riggs Brave New Workshop as an actor/writer/improvisor. Other local credits include Hey City Theatre; Mixed Blood; the Ordway; History Theatre; Illusion Theatre; Playwright's Center; Theatre Unbound; Minnetonka Theatre; Yellow Tree; the Old Log; Theatre Elision and the Plymouth Playhouse, where she originated the role of Mavis in all nine of the the popular Church Basement Ladies musicals. Greta also works regularly as a voiceover and commercial artist; travels the country as a motivational speaker, corporate entertainer and a “Looney Lutheran”; wrote the annual Medora Musical for 18 seasons; and scripted the last eight installments of the highly successful Church Basement Ladies series. Other writing credits include: LEMONADE FOR THE LAWNBOY, CHRISTMAS ON THE RANCH, BORN IN A TRUNK, THE MEDORA GOSPEL BRUNCH and numerous awards shows. In addition, Greta has directed theatrical productions for a variety of companies including PRIME PRODUCTIONS, OPEN WINDOW and LAKESHORE PLAYERS. In all of her work she strives to entertain and engage her audience.
