Coming up in late January and early February, Josh will be appearing as Teenage Boy in Minnesota Opera's production of Dead Man Walking directed by Joel Ivany.
Originally from San Francisco, Josh Zwick is a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater BFA Actor Training Program. Coming up next, Josh will understudy the role of Peter Van Daan in The Diary of Anne Frank at Park Square Theatre. Later this summer, Josh will be heading to Montana to perform with Montana Shakespeare in the Parks where he'll play Costard and Boyet in Love's Labour's Lost and Roderigo in Othello. Recently, Josh played the roles of Tom/Marshall/Security Guy/News Reporter in Minnesota Jewish Theatre Company's production of Church & State. This past summer, he worked at Creede Repertory Theatre in Colorado, appearing in both She Loves Me and Arsenic and Old Lace, and Theater at Monmouth in Maine where he played Peter in Peter and the Starcatcher. This past spring, Josh played the role of Lee Baum in Arthur Miller's The American Clock directed by Joseph Price in the The Guthrie Theater's Dowling Studio. Other professional credits include various roles in the Minnesota Centennial Showboat's production of Under the Gaslight directed by former Guthrie Associate Artistic Director, John Miller-Stephany, and also the role of Clown in Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival's production of The Winter's Tale where Josh worked with veteran actors Wendy Robie, Grant Goodman, and L. Peter Callendar. He also played Costard in Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival's touring production of Love's Labour's Lost, lending his guitar skills to the show's Offenbach theme. When off the stage, Josh dabbles in commercials, voiceover, and print modeling in the Twin Cities. Josh is a spirited singer, skilled guitarist, and an experienced improviser.
