Mike Lubke
Mike Lubke is a fight choreographer, stage combat instructor, director, producer, and performer based in the Twin Cities. He is a recognized Fight Director and Certified Teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors, where he serves on their governing body as Fight Director Representative. His fight work has been a part of over 100 productions in Minnesota, both onstage and onscreen. Mike has had the pleasure of working on violence for the Guthrie Theater, Park Square, History Theater, Children's Theatre Company, Yellow Tree Theatre, as well as his resident fight work at Six Elements Theatre. His film work has been featured in multiple music videos, two upcoming Lifetime features, in addition to serial work for HISTORY and FOX. Mike teaches regularly through his private studio: Art In Arms, LLC - a national leader in private stage combat training, as well as via his position on the coaching staff for Circus Juventas in Saint Paul. He has also taught classes and workshops across the country: from Michigan to Texas, Louisiana to Iowa and North Carolina, and will have served as faculty for the National Stage Combat Workshop for a 3rd time by the end of 2024. From mass battles to simple scuffles and falls, from the savage to the slapstick or stylized, Mike loves to collaborate and help artists focus on telling stories through moments of heightened physical intensity.
