I am a theatre artist who specializes in directing and scenic design. While I can occassionally be found stage managing, it is usually because I want to learn from a director and observe how they approach a project. I have studied with Forum, Invisible and Legislative Theatre with Augusto Boal and have recently completed the Cornerstone Intensive and am looking to integrate these methodologies into my work. I am a single father of 2 teenage daughters, so projects have to fit into a fairly tight schedule. I took a break from theatre when my kids were young, but am always interested in discussing new projects that are approaching theatre in a different way.
In 2012 I started Segue Productions. The idea is to produce pieces that are timely and that will create a dialogue in the viewers about the state of current events. In 2012 we produced Stell Kiss in response to the Marriage Ammendment that was on the ballot and in 2017 we produced Laughing Wild in response to the anxiety that many are feeling about current events. Look for more productions soon.
