Mary Montgomery is a freelance lighting designer, technician, painter, and educator located in Minneapolis. Recently she has taken on the role of Marketing and Finance Manager for the educational organization Technical Tools of the Trade. She has had the incredible privilege of working with theatre companies across the midwest including Penumbra, Great River Shakespeare Festival, the Guthrie Theatre, Bloominton Civic Theatre, Macy's, Music Theatre Wichita, Minnesota Dance Theatre, History Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, The Jungle Theater, and Riverside Theatre Shakespeare Festival. Mary earned her BA in Theatre and Dance from Winona State University and MFA in Theatre Design and Technology from the University of Minnesota. When Mary is not working she enjoys cleaning, spending time with her cats, gaming, disc golf, and sitting on the porch at her family's cabin.
