The LeagueAires Women’s Performance Ensemble is now seeking:
- Volunteer Singers and Singing Dancers for our 61st season
- A skilled collaborative pianist for a paid accompanist position
For more than six decades, LeagueAires has brought the joy and healing power of music to audiences throughout the Twin Cities. We perform for senior communities, veterans’ homes, and children and adults living with disabilities, creating meaningful moments of connection through both intimate outreach programs and public performances.
LeagueAires is a proud partner of the Junior League of Minneapolis, MacPhail Center for Music, and the Family of Suzanne Holmes Hodder.
VOLUNTEER SINGERS & SINGING DANCERS
Role
Women of all treble voice types are encouraged to audition.
No prior dance experience is required. The ability to read music is helpful but not required.

What to Expect
Our auditions are designed to be welcoming, low-pressure, and interactive.
Voice Check
Work one-on-one with our Artistic Director to explore:
- Vocal range, tone, and musicality
- Simple exercises and harmony work
- A familiar song of your choice
- Optional light music-reading
Movement Check
- Learn and repeat a short movement combination
- Move rhythmically and naturally to music
- Demonstrate basic mobility, including stepping onto low risers
Mission and Culture Conversation
- Learn about LeagueAires’ history, values, and community-service mission
- Ask questions and experience our supportive, team-centered culture
Singer Commitment
Rehearsals
Mondays, 9:30 AM–12:00 PM
Normandale Lutheran Church Music Room
September 2026–January 2027, approximately 16 rehearsals (4 absences permitted)
Performances
Mondays at 10:30 AM and/or 1:30 PM (Performers can commit to a full or half-day)
Locations throughout the Twin Cities metro area
January–early May 2027, approximately 16 performance days (4 absences permitted)
Annual member dues are $75, with scholarships available.
PAID ACCOMPANIST POSITION
LeagueAires is also seeking an experienced, flexible, and collaborative pianist to accompany rehearsals and performances during our 2026–27 season.
The accompanist works closely with our Artistic Director, singers, choreographer, and fellow musicians to support efficient rehearsals and polished, engaging performances.
Ideal Qualifications
- Strong piano and sight-reading skills
- Experience accompanying choirs, vocal ensembles, musical theatre, or similar groups
- Ability to follow a conductor and respond flexibly during rehearsals
- Comfortable playing a variety of musical styles
- Dependable, prepared, encouraging, and collaborative
- Available for the majority of the Monday rehearsal and performance schedule
Accompanist Schedule
Two accompanists will divide the rehearsal and performance schedule by mutual agreement, working closely with our Artistic Director and one another to provide consistent musical support throughout the season.

This is a paid, non-union position. Compensation and complete position details will be discussed with qualified applicants.
