Why Should I See Your Show? 'Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of the Suicide Club'
Editorial
Here comes another installment of Why Should I See Your Show?, our ongoing feature in which local theater folks make a case for their production as the week's best bet. This week, Park Square Theatre Executive Director C. Michael-jon Pease provides evidence for Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of the Suicide Club.
Of all the shows going on this weekend, why should I see yours?
Because you want to spend the holiday weekend with a group of super-smart, super-fun (and in some cases super-HOT) actors romping their way through a great new mystery gorgeously produced.
Will I laugh?
If you don't laugh at Steve Hendrickson's laconic delivery or Karen Wiese-Thomson's madcap streetwalker, then something is wrong with you.
Will I cry?
The obvious answer is "only if you miss this show!", but that's just marketing-speak. If you really enjoy the catharsis of tears, then skip this one and save your money for Good People or Mary T. & Lizzy K.
How can I convince my theater-hating friend to come see this show?
Tell him (it IS a him, right?) that this is as close as he'll get to seeing a Sherlock Holmes video game. The projected scenery and clues keep everything moving so fast that the furniture has to be all on wheels.
Who shouldn't see this show?
People who really hate mysteries, comedy, magic tricks and cream tarts (they must be out there).
