The Local Music Scene presents: Jocelyn Walsh

Improv comedy inspired by local music.
Every month, a different local musician performs their original music. Having listened closely, the comedians from local improv group The Local Music Scene then improvise comedic scenes based on the lyrics.
Musical guest:
Jocelyn Walsh is a singer/songwriter who has performed throughout Rochester, St. Cloud, and Twin Cities, and who recently returned to the Twin Cities after a few-year stint in Seattle, WA. Her songs range from story folk to bluesy musings on anxiety and mental illness to drunken ramblings turned satirical melodramas about loves lost. While Jocelyn’s presence in the Minneapolis music scene has been somewhat muted by her questionable decision to write a dissertation while working full-time in the schools, she is slowly making her way back into her favorite music scene in her favorite metro area.
The Local Music Scene is: Sarah Arnold, Laura Berger, Breanna Cecile, Liz Council, Jeff Gyllen, Nathan Kelly, Kelsey McGregor, Erik Ostrom, Shea Roberts, Will Roberts, and Philip Simondet.
They are an improv group that has trained and performed at various local improv theaters, including The Brave New Workshop, ComedySportz Twin Cities, HUGE Theater and Jesters.
All of them either ARE local musicians or enjoy local music. At the VERY least, they’ve heard the term "local music.”
