Silver Slipper Productions (Queer Circus, Christopher Street, Martina’s Broadway Cabaret) is seeking Performers, Crew, Musicians and several Production Positions for our upcoming run of Reefer Madness the Musical, performing October 23rd-27th at LUSH Lounge and Theater in Minneapolis, MN.

This production will feature CircusDrag and Burlesque, however none of these are required to be part of the cast.

This is a non-professional, Community Theater, therefore there are no paid positions in this production. However, there will be a percentage split of the profits between the Cast Members/Musicians and Production Team positions.

Directed by Martina Marraccino (Martinoa Mayotte)

“The big green elephant in the room is that we all know it’s no longer Illegal to smoke pot here in Minnesota...mostly. But there are still many innocuous things that folks are trying to use as a weapon these days. Drag, Burlesque, essentially any non-Typical life, and although this show is originally set in 1936 we fear that it may also easily fit into a potential dystopian future of 2026.”

REVIEWS

“A delirious romp... reaches highs of intoxicating goofiness.” – USA Today

“Reefer Madness: The Musical broadly expands on the skeleton plot of the original film and turns it into a deliciously campy, wickedly funny romp… This show combines the main character from Godspell with the kinkiness of The Rocky Horror Show and the traditional musical theatre aesthetic of A Chorus Line.” – Strand (Toronto)

“Reefer Madness... is deliberately outlandish and silly. And that's what makes it so good... [the show includes] a dozen or so over-the-top and hilarious production numbers.” – New York Daily News

“The funniest thing to come down the pike – or the pipe – in a while.” – Backstage

“The musical stage version of Refeer Madness! really deserves to be a phenomenon unto itself. You don't even have to inhale to enjoy it.” – After Dark
