Fearless Comedy Productions is seeking five actors for Fearless Five: Power, a showcase of five original one-act plays about power in today’s society written by five local writers, directed by five local directors, and performed by five local actors. Since some of the plays require less than five actors, not all actors will be cast in every play.
AUDITIONS
Auditions are being conducted in person at the Phoenix Theater, 2605 Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis, on Tuesday, January 14 and Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 6:30 pm until 9:30 pm.
To audition, first complete an online audition form at https://forms.gle/ChAfSFqRT5GbobfQ9. After submitting your audition form, you will be provided a link to sign up for a time slot for your audition. Please do not make an appointment unless you are confident you will audition. If you cannot attend your scheduled audition, please cancel through the online scheduler so that others may use the time. A limited number of unscheduled auditions may be available for walk-ups.
Please prepare a short, contemporary monologue, preferably comedic but it may be dramatic as long as it has some elements of humor in it. In addition to performing a monologue, you will be provided with sides to read on site.
We ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes before your audition time. We may give your time slot to someone else if you are not on time for your audition.
When you arrive, you will be greeted by one of our volunteers. After checking in, please wait in the lobby until you are called for your audition. Auditions will take place upstairs in the Pink Room.
PRODUCTION SCHEDULE
- A read-through is scheduled for Monday, February 3 at 6:30 pm.
- Rehearsals will take place 6:30-9:30 pm Monday through Thursday and one weekend day (in accordance with everyone's schedules). Each play will rehearse once per week.
- Tech rehearsals will take place 6:00-10:00 pm Monday, March 17 through Thursday, March 20 at the Phoenix.
- Performances will take place at the Phoenix Theater on the following dates:
- Friday, March 21 at 7:30 pm
- Saturday, March 22 at 7:30 pm
- Sunday, March 23 at 2:00 pm
- Monday, March 24 at 7:30 pm
- Friday, March 28 at 7:30 pm
- Saturday, March 29 at 7:30 pm
- Sunday, March 30 at 2:00 pm.
All actors will be paid a stipend of $150 to cover travel and incidental costs. We do not provide housing for actors; all performers must be located near the Twin Cities metro and able to arrange transportation to and from rehearsals and performances.
