Disney's Newsies!

Children's Performing Arts proudly launches its inaugural Summer Stock production with Disney's electrifying Broadway hit, Newsies! This exciting new tradition brings together dedicated performers, between the ages of 11 & 25 for an immersive theatrical experience, culminating in a spectacular production accompanied by a live pit band.

Inspired by the true story of the 1899 Newsboys' Strike, Newsies follows the charismatic Jack Kelly and a determined group of young newspaper sellers who dare to stand up against New York's most powerful publishers. When the price of newspapers suddenly rises at the expense of the newsies, they band together to fight for what's right, discovering the strength of friendship, courage, and the power of raising their voices together.

Featuring Leonardo Fay as Jack Kelly, Thien-Tam Tang as Crutchie, Emily Hubin as Katherine, Jesse Perez-Nichols as Joseph Pulitzer, Jimmy Awards® nominee Kiara Angline as Race, and Spotlight Triple Threat Eli Murphy as Davey, this powerhouse cast brings the beloved characters to life with passion, heart, and incredible talent.
