Enter the hall of the nameless Sea-Hag, mother of Grendel. She slew her ancient enemies, but it wasn’t enough. It’s never enough. Still she hungers for retribution.

Now, shocked by the strongmen of our modern world, she contemplates a new threat: the ultra-rich. When the seductive power of violence beckons, how do you distinguish between justice and revenge? Perhaps if we share a meal with this She-Wolf, we can learn to trust each other. Perhaps we can find salvation.

Experience this fierce, one-woman theatrical event with an actual feast curated by the Black Forest Inn! Get ready to dig in.

Show-only tickets are also available.

Dinner is part of the Experience.
Here’s how it works:

Order of Events:

• 6:15 – 6:30 Patrons arrive for dinner, and may order drinks.
• 6:30 – 6:45 Dinner is served.
• 6:35 – 7:20 Live music (for both Dinner and No-Dinner patrons)
• 7:20 No-Dinner patrons please be here!
• 7:30 The host requests our full attention.
• 8:50 Patrons are encouraged to begin the rest of their lives.

Live Diner Music:

• Every night from 6:35 – 7:20pm
• For both Dinner and No-Dinner patrons
• Sycamore Gap folk ensemble performing performing Feb 28, Mar 2, 7.
• Guitarist Scott Keever performing Feb 27, Mar 6, 8, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29.

Ticket Prices:

Dinner & Show tickets are pick-your-price: $65 – $85. (Actual value $75.) Price selected will not affect the dinner.

Show-only tickets are pick-your-price: $30 – $50. (Actual value $40.) Price selected will not affect the experience.

Advance reservations requested. Both Dinner tickets and No-Dinner tickets may not be available at the door.

Ticket sales only cover a portion of what it actually costs to present our plays.

For ticket sales to completely cover our production expenses, a ticket would cost $75, or $40 for show-only.

You choose your price! If you are able to pay the true cost, we ask you to do so. Or, pay as little as $30, or choose a more generous amount and help support our accessible ticket program.

Student tickets (show-only) are FREE. Limit 2 per order. Available starting one month before the performance date.

Monday, March 2 is our Pay What You Can night, with show-only tickets as low as $10 and dinner & show tickets as low as $45.

Menu Options:

• Meal 1: Pork ribs, kraut, and mashed potato (GF)
• Meal 2: Chicken paprikash (on the bone) and spätzle*
• Meal 3: Stuffed squash and pickled beets (GF, V)

*spätzle is a traditional German noodle. It contains flour, eggs and milk.

All dinners come with soup (carrot & ginger: GF, V) and bread. Tax and tip are included.

Drinks:

Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are available for a separate charge, including patrons who select the no-dinner ticket.

No-Dinner Option:

A limited number of seats are available. Show-only patrons are welcome to come early, enjoy the live music, and order a drink!

Health and Safety:

• You will be seated in proximity to other patrons, who will be eating and drinking. The capacity of the venue is about 60 people.
• We do not currently require proof of vaccination or masking. Respiratory Virus policy is subject to change based on regional conditions and/or guidance.

The Black Forest Inn is located at 1 E 26th St, Minneapolis, MN 55404

There is a free parking lot (space limited) to the south of the building (enter off of Nicollet Ave.)
