Comedy

Little Apple Theatre Company invites you to join us for a Queerly sincere jaunt to rediscover

The Importance of Being Earnest,

as we bring our new perspective to this well-loved script.

Oscar Wilde said that it was only in the theater that he lived. Like Wilde, many of us are often forced to tuck away parts of ourselves to move safely through a repressive world. We will playfully and affectionately explore the ways we see that Wilde tucked away parts of himself within his (maybe not quite so) trivial play.

Four ostentatiously eligible young people process their romantic complexities amidst assumed, fabricated and mistaken identities. Can genuine connections be made from behind the masks they're forced to wear?

Bring the full social possibilities of your profile to the Historic Mounds Theater July 17th through August 2nd. Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm, and Sundays at 2pm. Industry night at 7 pm on Monday, July 27th.

Tickets available at: https://ci.ovationtix.com/35708/production/1280962
