Adam completed his Theatre Arts BA at the University of Iowa in 1993 and was accepted into the Acting Apprentice Company at the Actors Theatre of Louisville. By mid-1996 he was working full-time doing theater, commercial TV and radio, and corporate/educational video and voiceover work in the Twin Cities. He was a movie jockey for US Satellite Broadcasting in the late '90s, and worked for almost two decades with electronics retailer Best Buy as the host of their in-house video news magazine called TAGtv. Adam has also been the commercial voice of many national brands including Furniture Row, Papa Murphy's Pizza, and Callaway Golf.

When too many conflicts arose between commercial work and stagework in 2002, Adam took a hiatus from the theatre to focus on making music, starting a few rock bands including Blacktop Badge, which played around the Twin Cities' club scene. He also took up motorcycling, which became a lifelong passion leading to tens of housands of miles of long distance touring and a brief stint racing road bikes with the Central Roadracing Association amateur motorcycle racing club.

Adam returned to the stage in 2008 for local playwright and Minnesota Playlist co-founder Alan Berks's #Ringtone, and has continued doing 2-3 plays a year. He is currently a performer and company member with Wonderlust Productions theater company and has been performing regularly with Pillsbury House + Theatre's Breaking Ice diversity and inclusion program since 2014.

Lavender Magazine recognized Adam in their "Arts Spotlight: 2015 Theater Year in Review" for his "Crème de la Crème Performance" in Loudmouth Collective's A Bright New Boise and Theatre Pro Rata's The Woodsman. City Pages also acknowledged him in 2016 in "The 10 Finest Theater Productions in the Twin Cities Last Year" for The Woodsman, and named him Best Actor in their "Best of the Twin Cities" annual review.

Adam lives in Northeast Minneapolis with his singer/actress wife Sara, their two stubborn shih tzus, two motorcycles, and way too many guitars.
