Kirby Bennett
Kirby has appeared at numerous local and regional theatres including productions at the Old Log Theatre, Jungle Theatre, Frank Theatre, Park Square Theatre, History Theatre, Yellow Tree Theatre, Commonweal Theatre Company, Minnesota Jewish Theatre Company, Paul Bunyan Playhouse, Theatre Pro Rata and the Mary Worth Theatre Company. Kirby is the Artistic Director of Girl Friday Productions, for which she produced and performed in their acclaimed productions of Thornton Wilder's The Skin of Our Teeth in 2019; Robert Sherwood's Idiot's Delight in 2017; Thornton Wilder's The Matchmaker in 2015; Tennessee Williams' Camino Real in 2013; Elmer Rice's Street Scene in 2011 ("Star Tribune," "Pioneer Press" and "Lavender Magazine" Top Ten Lists for 2012); Thornton Wilder’s The Skin of Our Teeth in 2009 ("MinnPost" Favorite for 2009); and Our Town (“Pioneer Press” Top Ten List for 2007). Kirby also has extensive commercial/industrial credits and holds a B.A. in Dramatic Arts from Macalester College.
