The Season’s Dinner Theatre is proud to announce auditions for their two upcoming productions for their 30th season! This unique theatre produces original script musical comedies every holiday season from Thanksgiving to New Years, along with a Feb/Mar show, performed weekends only, in a golf club ballroom setting. Performances take place on a professionally build set, served up with a fabulous meal, and a great deal of laughter! This dinner theatre attracts approximately 7,000 theatre goers per year!
SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER, considered Tennessee Williams’ most poetic and shocking plays, will audition for 5 women and 2 men on Monday, August 14 and Tuesday, August 15. Directed by Allen Hamilton, SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER performs October 13 through November 5, 2017.
On Monday, September 25, 7-8:30 pm, the English Department at the University of Minnesota will be hosting an evening of readings from Jane Austen's works in honor of the 200th anniversary of her death. We are auditioning local actors to take part in this event. For the audition, please read a 2-3 minute selection from Jane Austen's works. It does not need to be memorized. We are looking for readers who can bring Austen's characters to life; please, no fake British accents. Payment will be $50 for each actor chosen for the event.

Mounds Theater seeking actors for A Klingon Christmas Carol
The Historic Mounds Theater is holding auditions for A Klingon Christmas Carol by Christopher Kidder-Mostrom and Sasha Warren. We are looking for adult actors for a variety of roles and an age 10-12 actor for the role of tImHom (Tiny Tim). Adult roles are analogous to Dickens's A Christmas Carol (Scrooge, Cratchit, Fred, the Ghosts, etc.)
The play is performed in the Klingon Language with English supertitles. Knowledge of the Klingon language and stage combat aren't required, but are desirable.
"Death by Arrangement" is a Comedic Murder Mystery: Set in present day London, the plot revolves around the death of Evan MacKenzie and a houseful of suspects. Pity the poor detective that is misled and outwitted again and again. Unexpected twists and turns keep audiences guessing right up to the final curtain of this subtle, humorous play in the classic tradition. We are looking for 11 adult (18+) actors (6-7 men and 4-5 women) to fill these fun and energetic roles. This performance is directed by Ben Layne.
Guthrie seeks Picture and Resumes from actors (18-60) with Somali or Middle Eastern backgrounds for an upcoming project with KJ Sanchez.

The Matchbox Theater (TMT) will hold general company auditions for its 2017-2018 season on Saturday, July 22nd and Sunday, July 23rd from 10am - 2pm. Prepare two contrasting 2-minute monologues, contemporary and/or classical. Our next show will be The Booby Trap, by Marcus Anthony Downs, a Christmas Eve play about family dysfunction, holiday fervor, pseudo religiosity, and a surprise dinner guest "that ain't Santa".
Dangerous Productions announces auditions for SKIN, a new original play by Minneapolis playwright, Oya Mae Duchess-Davis that will be performing at the Twin Cities Horror Fest in October 2017. This year’s production will use the horror style to explore racial dynamics and white privilege. SKIN centers around a plastic surgeon who offers black women the chance to remove parts of themselves that they (and society) have deemed ugly.
Mad Science is currently looking for outgoing entertainers to perform solo educational shows and birthday parties for kids in the Twin Cities 7 County Metro area; and Monticello, Chatsworth, Belle Plaine, Mankato, Duluth, St. Cloud, and Northfield. If you love performing, are comfortable with a certain amount of improv, and enjoy teaching kids, then consider auditioning for Mad Science!

Minnesota Jewish Theatre Company is casting "Church and State," "Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins," "Collected Stories," and "Natasha and the Coat" (world premiere) for its 2017-2018 season. Full Circle Theater is seeking union and non-union actors (actors of all abilities welcome) for its 2018 spring production: The World Premiere of Under This Roof. Set in 1948 Cleveland, Under This Roof examines the relationship between Mamie & Raymond Warren and Bessie Washington, who comes to take care of Raymond after a recent accident. This heartfelt drama examines complex themes of aging, family and racial expectations in post WWII America.

Theatre Unbound is currently casting Aliens with Extraordinary Skills by Saviana Stanescu. Moldovan immigrant Nadia has a work visa identifying her as an “alien with extraordinary skills” – she is a clown. When she receives a deportation order, she goes into hiding in New York City. A dark comedy based on true stories of immigration, fictionalized and explored by a playwright who tries to understand her own story.

Wayward Theatre Company is having auditions for the role of JIM in Conor McPherson's The Weir directed by Michael Kelley. Auditions are on Monday, July 24 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm.
Rehearsals start September 11 and run Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri nights from 6:30pm-10:00pm and Saturdays from 11:00am-3:00pm. Rehearsals will take place in Minneapolis.
